On January 7, 2011, the Reserve Bank of India cancelled the Certificate of Registration granted to M/s. Winmore Leasing & Holdings Limited, whose registered office was in New Delhi. The release says the company had voluntarily exited from the business, and RBI exercised powers under Section 45-IA(6) of the RBI Act, 1934 to cancel the registration certificate. As a result, the company can no longer carry on the business of a non-banking financial institution.
