RBI had imposed directions on The Panihati Co-operative Bank Limited, Panihati, Kolkata, West Bengal from April 24, 2014 because of its precarious financial position, and those directions were extended from time to time up to October 23, 2015. In this release, RBI states that it has now withdrawn those directions with effect from close of business on October 16, 2015. The bank is still expected to operate under operational instructions.
