The Reserve Bank of India has withdrawn the Directions issued to Pune Sahakari Bank Ltd., Shivajinagar, Pune under Section 35A read with Section 56 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949. Those directions were first issued on March 09, 2023, later modified, and had been extended up to close of business on December 10, 2025. RBI said that, after reviewing the bank's financial position and being satisfied that withdrawal was necessary in the public interest, it was exercising its powers to lift the directions effective from close of business on October 16, 2025.
