The Reserve Bank of India has extended the period of operation of its existing Directions issued under Section 35A read with Section 56 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 to Lokapavani Mahila Sahakari Bank Niyamitha, Mandya. The original directive dated July 29, 2025 was in force up to close of business on April 30, 2026; RBI has now extended it for a further six months, up to close of business on October 30, 2026, subject to review. The release states that the other terms and conditions of the directive remain unchanged and notes that the extension should not be interpreted as satisfaction with the bank's financial position.
