The Reserve Bank of India has extended the validity of its existing Directions issued under Section 35A read with Section 56 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 against Sonpeth Nagari Sahakari Bank Maryadit, Sonpeth, District Parbhani. The original directions dated July 29, 2025 had already been extended once, and this release further extends them from close of business on October 30, 2026 to close of business on January 30, 2027. The RBI says the extension is in the public interest and clarifies that the extension should not be taken to mean the bank's financial position is satisfactory. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
